Behind with the blogging

So yes I have been way behind with the blogging…I have had so many moments where I have wanted to post but I always seem to get side track on to something else. Plus it doesn’t help that I have loaded my plate a little more than what I am used to.

2011 was a year that we were able to enjoy so much…between our getaways, weddings, babies and lots of time with family and friends. The Holidays came and went and we are already well into 2012 and I didn’t post any of it.
At least 2012 started off to be a great year!!! If you haven’t heard we are expecting our first child. Jose and I have been waiting for this moment for a while now.

Holding the secret inside was so difficult for me and we had always said we would hold off telling people until we were in the safe zone but of course I had to tell a few close friends, our parents and siblings. We…well really I found out on February 28th, Jose wasn’t home yet from up north (We were in Napa Valley the weekend before…) and I really didn’t want to tell him over the phone so I called my sister Cassie and swore her to secrecy, she was so excited. The following day Jose was coming home so through the morning sickness and my day two headache, I managed to get balloons, a sign and a card for him. When he got home he had a nice surprise in the kitchen. Let’s just say he was so happy.

We told the rest of our families the weekend of Easter and announced to everyone else the following weekend. Here are some photos from our announcement, thanks to my sister Cassie http://cfuertez.tumblr.com/.

Oh and I am making a promise to myself to keep my blog updated on the ever changing baby Diaz!!

Family picture time!!! Say Cheese! "Cheese"

Say Cheese.... "Cheese"

Okay now say Lucy's having a baby...."What?!?Really?!?"

Did Grandma & Grandpa hear the news??? "Grandma, Lucy's having a baby!!!"

What?!? Really Lucy??!?!

A priceless moment thanks to my sister Cassie!!

Loving this time of year!

The last few weekends we have had lots of holiday cheer! The frist weekend of December, Jose and I made the trip out to “somewhere” far north east of Temecula to have a Christmas Dinner Party with his coworkers. We had such a great time with lots of great food.

Last Friday I had a Pajama Christmas party with some of the ladies from work…wine, food and presents is always a winning combination for us gals. Followed by my work’s annual employee’s association dinner…at Café Sevillas which is such a fun place we had such a great time. If you have ever thought about going there for dinner you should definitely give it a try they have great food, yummy drinks and fun entertainment. With Café Sevillas (we went to the one in Riverside) you are for sure in for a fun night!

Toys + Boys = LOTS OF SAND!

Well last month (early November) we headed to Glamis to take out our toys which now is an annual thing in our house. We have been going to Glamis for the last 6 years. This last trip was the first one for my family and now my Dad really enjoys it, so much we already have another trip planned for January. We had a great group with us; we did a lot of riding and cooking.

We had a great time and we had the perfect weather!

Here are some pictures my sister took while we were there for the weekend.

Brazilian Blowout

I have wanted to get it done for awhile now but was waiting for someone I knew to get it done first. Once one of my firends had it done I made an appointment with her hair stylist right away.

So this past Friday I did it...I got the Brazilian Blowout!!! I love it!! My hair feels great and looks great. After 3 hours and having 6 inches cut off...it is so soft and so easy to work with. Doing my hair nomally takes so much time and effort and to get my hair straight well that is a process in it self but now...Lets just say I have more time to do other things.

Here are a few pictures of before and after. So if you are thinking about getting it done and have questions let me know. By the way it was less than $300.00!! Normally the rate is between $300 - $400 more if you have long hair, so I found a great deal!!!

Before - My hair long and curly

After - Straight (looks like the same length but it is less than when i had it curly)
